The patient showed a laceration to the shoulder from a hunting knife. Two clamps were used to seal the wound, and the transport to the hospital took 30 minutes, where EMS removed the iTClamp.
A 10 cm arterial laceration in the head with pulsatile bleeding was identified in an MVC. Upon application of the iTClamp®, the bleeding was stopped. the arterial bleed was subsequently sutured in the ED.
